Day 24/30: Belts and Loops
Wednesday, July 06, 2011Belt loops are something I don't normally give a lot of thought to. Most of my bottoms are pretty fitted, so any use of belts are for decorative purposes only. That is, except for this skirt. And as luck would have it, it came sans belt loops. I love the print, so dealing with the belt slippin' and slidin' is just a minor inconvenience I'm willing to put up with. Are belt loops a must for you?

Ooh! I love that skirt. And nope, don't need belt loops to wear skirts or pants. You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteYou look super cute (it's nice to see a bit of your face too)!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you, I hardly have any real use for belt loops, either, hehe. That top works really well with this skirt!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing SO well on this challenge Cee! Adorable, girly outfit!
ReplyDeleteBelt loops are not a must for me. I love belts with skirt. :)
How cute do you look Cee?!! I usually prefer for my skirts to not have belt loops. I like the way you've added the belt here though, very nice!
ReplyDeleteI prefer bottoms that have belt loops but some belts are too big anyways, so I guess you just have to make do :)
ReplyDeleteI adore this pink top. You look fantastic!
belt loops are def overrated! they're never in the right place.
ReplyDeletelove the shirt, the skirt, the belt! i've said the same during the entire 30x30 challenge b/c you picked really great pieces for it.
you've done great--only a few more days to go!

Love this outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteBelt loops are definitely not needed
Belt loops on trousers are nearly always a must! Skirts, I can be a litte forgiving with...just like with this skirt! Great look!
ReplyDeleteJust like you, I don't typically care about belt loops on skirts. It's so fun to see your full shot, Cee :)
ReplyDeleteCan I just tell you again that I'm loving the whole body shots?! I like belt loops when the belt is supposed to sit somewhere odd - like empire waists (otherwise it just slides down to my actual waist). You can make your own! My mom just showed me how to make those delicate string twisted ones :)
ReplyDeletenope, belt loops are nto a necessity for me. in fact, i forgot that the skirt i wore today had loops and originally threw the belt on over them! lol.
ReplyDeletelove that floral skirt - pretty!! love the drapiness of the top, too.

I'm so used to my skirts not having belt loops, I don't even look for them anymore! Also, that skirt is super cute.

I do wish more skirts had belt loops, would make things a lot easier...you look awesome! Love the brightness of the outfit!
ReplyDeletedresses I guess I dont mind not having belt loops, but for skirts it would be a bit easier.
ReplyDeleteAww look at your pretty happy face! I cant wait until our next DC trip so we can meet!
Eeeeks Cee you are gorgeous!! Love seeing all of you hahahaha! Nope belt loops aren't a must for me - in fact sometimes they are a nusance b/c I like to wear belts that are wider than the loops (the belt won't fit in them) but when I put the belt on you can see the loops underneath - hate that!
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable!! And that skirt is such a cute summery skirt! I can take or leave belt loops. Like you said, belts for me are usually to add something cute to the outfit, not to keep the skirt from falling off. Ha! I wish I had that problem with my clothes. lol But alas, they seem to be getting tighter instead of looser!
ReplyDeleteLoving the bright pink - even with the bright colors this outfit is so chic!

The full shot of you made me smile!
ReplyDeleteI loved reading everyone's opinions! It seems like the general opinion is split half-half. I know it's such a mundane topic, so thank you for indulging me :)
ReplyDeleteCee, I love your smile! It accentuates the bright outfit very well! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI love every single outfit of yours from the outfit! This one is so cute, loving the skirt pattern :)
