Hello! I'm C. Welcome to my (mostly) style blog, to brighten my day. I live in and blog from the Washington DC metro area. I'm a code monkey (aka software developer) working in the government sector. My office has a business casual dress code -- which I've been known to take advantage of, from both extreme ends of crazy dressed up to casual in jeans. On the weekends, I'm typically bumming around in sweats and sneakers.

Here on TBMD, you'll find a variety of outfits ranging from super casual to almost black-tie (and of course with office attire mixed in). I'm a believer in mixing and matching high-end with affordable. My personal style is a reflection of an everyday working girl enjoying this journey we call life while not taking myself seriously along the way.

Photos are taken with a Sony Alpha a6000 mirrorless camera. Outfit photos are mostly taken by myself with a 50mm f/1.8 lens, a remote timer app via smartphone, and a tripod. On rare occasions, my husband will play photographer.

I edit my photos in Adobe Lightroom 6.
