Same Old

by - Thursday, March 15, 2012
I thought I was trying something new with today's outfit... until I remembered this one from my archives. Same dress, same accessories, a jacket, different top (but worn the same way). Ahhh... chalk it up to faulty short term memory ;)

Round and Round

by - Wednesday, July 20, 2011
With the exception of one or two items, I think everything in my closet has been paired with this hot pink top. Even if my math is off, the color is too memorable, so it sure feels that way. It took until this summer for me to slowly venture out of blues and grays. My new color of choice? Pinks, corals, and more pinks. Olyvia said it best, "Bright pink seems to be your power color." What's yours?

Hello spring

Be honest. Do you see any Anthro vibe at all from today's outfit (the background can count too)? If not... it's too late because this is my submission to Lisa's Respect the Outfits series this week, featuring... you guessed it, Anthropologie-inspired outfits.

I can't be the only one who conjures up images of frolicking in the woods when I think of Anthro, right? But beyond that, the extent of my Anthro knowledge I gained from Lisa and Lisa (the only two Anthro bloggers I follow), plus... stepping foot into the store a couple of times. I tried to channel my femininity with the flared skirt and pearls. The rest? I had to keep it "me" somehow.

What do you think, yay or nay? What would you swap out or change?

30 for 30: Pouf

by - Thursday, March 03, 2011
Nope, I'm not wearing a petticoat underneath the dress. Somehow wearing a fitted sweater caused the skirt to balloon at the bottom. I think this is an interesting look on me and I kind of like it. If the hem is any longer (I'm picturing ballgowns), the poufiness would just swallow me up. Have you tried skirts/dresses in this style? If so, how do you like it?

30 for 30: Home sweet home

by - Sunday, February 20, 2011
My parents recently came back from their trip abroad, so I couldn't wait to go home. Why you ask? Because I miss my mom's cooking. Shhhh don't tell her I said that or I'll never hear the end of it :) There's nothing quite like a bowl of home-cooked, steaming hot noodle soup. Not to mention, they brought back pineapple cakes. Mmm I wonder how long that's going to last.

30 for 30: Two colors

A coworker stopped me in the hallway to say I reminded him of Alice, from Alice in Wonderland. I asked if it was the poofy skirt. He said no, looked at my shoes, and proclaimed that it's the shoes. So here's today's outfit, inadvertently inspired by Alice, according to a guy. (It was a cold day, so I layered the electric blue tights underneath the gray ones. I'm way too chicken to be wearing bright blue tights at work! But it's ok for picture taking).

Strike a pose

by - Monday, December 06, 2010
I always thought models had it soo easy, just look pretty and the photographer will do all the work. Boy, am I wrong. Ever since I started blogging, I find myself falling back to one pose: crossing my legs with one hand on my hips. From this, I also have the variation of 1) turning 45 degrees to the camera or 2) standing on tippy-toes. That's about the extent of my modeling repertoire lol. I thought I'd try something different today since I'm wearing a dress. Umm... this is the best picture of the bunch! I should've just stuck to what I know best ;) Do you have a signature pose?

Working with Chanel

by - Monday, August 16, 2010
First modeling pics with the new Chanel! A bag like this needed to be paired with a dressier outfit, don't you think? At least dressy by my standards ;) I figured it's still work appropriate enough, with the subtle navy blue pinstripes. Hope y'all had a great Monday!
