Piling It On
Monday, July 25, 2011I went in for my bi-annual haircut yesterday. (Sorry for being a tease, new hair debut will be on Saturday, at the next PFC -- are you in?) My stylist took one look at my bird's nest hair, tsk tsk-ed, then set to work. She chopped off about 5", thinned, and flat ironed my hair. I walked away with stick straight hair that felt silky smooth to the touch. Loveeee. Let's see how many outfit pictures I can squeeze in before it's back to headless shots. I'm betting I'll last three days before succumbing to a wash.
An outfit post with my old hair. I'll trade access to my closet for flat ironing services in the mornings ;) Hope you're having a great Monday!

Love this outfit and love the pink poking out!
ReplyDeleteI got a haircut today too! I def needed a trim haha.
The hair looks great! Love the layers here! You should link up wit us in Many Layers Monday, and show it off to our readers if you get a chance!!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! You are making me so jealous with your chambray AND gingham! And those necklaces are great!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to see your hair/PFC pics! I will be participating...love the theme for this challenge!
Haircuts always leave you feeling amazing. Can't wait to see the new do. I love the way you effortlessly tuck in/out your shirts in your outfits.

5 inches off! I've barely seen you with long hair, haha Can't wait to see the sleek new hairdo :) Another genius idea, button-up on top of another button-up! Never thought of that one. I'll have to try it.
ReplyDeleteNever would have thought to do this type of layering...maybe when it gets cooler here in Houston (which is when, again?). Once again, you leave me stunned!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the sweet affirmation on Tiffany's blog...totally could have used those words back then, but better late than never! ;)
Ooooo can't wait to see your hair! Sounds amazing but then again no matter what- you look great Cee! I love seeing your full head in the first pic and once again you are the queen of layering! I get my layering inspiration from you! Hhehehehe I am eying your pink gingham...:D
ReplyDeleteInteresting layering, Cee! I can't wait to see your new hair and I'm so happy to be seeing your full head :D
ReplyDeleteFabulous layers! I love seeing your sweet smile too :)

As soon as I saw your picture I was like "oh my gosh she is soooo pretty!" :) Love the half-tuck, too, I do that alllll the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a big fan of your layering - the pop of pink gingham with the chambray is so pretty. You always have the best ideas!
ReplyDeleteIf I was at all talented with a flat iron (besides straightening my already pretty straight/thin hair), I would ABSOLUTELY take that trade. But I'm pretty sure, even with access to your closet, I still couldn't pull of the layering you do so well :)
ReplyDeleteI love the double shirt today!
i love the layering. i never thought to layer collared shirts like that. cute cute!
ReplyDeleteCute! I love the combination of both tops!

Wow, I love your layers here, genius!
ReplyDeletecant wait to see ur hair debut. Before I had Kaylee I would drive up to Eden just for a haircut couple times a year...i really need to go back to see him again!
ReplyDeleteYour old hair isn't that bad! I went almost one year without cutting my hair.. just recently cut it like three weeks ago. My hair's always really messy cause I can't find a good hair cutter.
ReplyDeleteAnd that website, pixlr? OMG. Amazing.
Love how you layered the shirts and necklaces. You look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your new hair cut :)
@JenlovesBal - I was so tempted to chop off even more given the hot weather we've had lately. But I knew I was going to regret it later, so I stopped myself just in time :)
ReplyDelete@Mimi - Thanks for letting me know; I'll be checking it out!
@Michelle - Oh PFC... this one was hard! My outfit turned out bleh, but I can't wait to see everyone's :)
@Jenn - Haha, the effortlessness def took a lot of tucking and loosening ;)
@BreezeyBee, @eek, @Little Petite, @Shasie, @Lilly's Style - Thanks :)
@Olyvia, @SewPetiteGal, @lica, @TaraMixandMatch - I gotta give all the credit to Atlantic-Pacific. She is the QUEEN of layering!
@Kish - Haha, you may be jealous of other parts of the country's weather, but we will be jealous of Houston's come winter time :)
@Really Petite - Is $15 hard to pass up? :) *nudging you in the direction of Hollister*
@The Little Dust Princess - Is interesting a code word for "hmm, what was she thinking?!" lol. It's ok if it is! I can take constructive criticism :)
@Vicky - Is 3 full days a lot or a little? It feels like forever to me! I'm on day 2 and already contemplating a wash tonight.
@Bethany - Haha, you are too nice :) Sunglasses are a great way to make someone look nicer, aka no need for makeup ;)
@Tara - Jealous! Wish I had your straight hair. I've toyed with the idea of getting some kind of straightening digital perm, but can't bring myself to pull the trigger due to the chemicals used. Ahh... maybe one day when I'm old, like after having kids?!
@simplyvonne - Do itttttt and I can meet up with you for banh mi ;)
@Ai - So glad to have introduced you to Pixlr! Have fun playing with it :)
Eeeee! I'm so excited to see your new hair!! So saturday is the unveiling huh? ....and it's with the PFC?!! That's awesome! I usually get to check everyone's out about four days later :P
ReplyDeleteyeeeee full frontal photo (not meant to be creepy at all haha). looking good mi friend! ;)
ReplyDeletelove this outfit i swear you look like you just stepped out of a j.crew mag!!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see your new hair hon!
no haha it'd be too cramped to stay in a hotel for 3 months with out doggies we're getting an apartment :)
I love the layering of necklaces and tops. Makes this outfit pop more than if you were to just wear one item of each. I need to get my hands on a chunky necklace.
ReplyDeleteYour first paragraph was DEFINITELY a tease. I can't believe you chopped off 5". I'm sure it looks fabulous. Can't wait to see your next post. =D
<3 S.
Can't WAIT to see the new hair! What's the weather like for you? I think the layering thing is too much for me but I'm either hot or really, really cold, I have no in between :P
ReplyDeleteYou're flipping GORGEOUS! And you always look so well put together. Why do you only do headless shots!? We wanna see YOU!
