New Shoessss

Through Suddenlee, I was able to get my hands on this pair of Zara court shoe with snakeskin toe, size 36. They are a great alternative to this gorgeous Alejandro Ingelmo snake pump (sold here) which I fell in love with but knew I could never handle the heel height. The Zara pair did not have the straight heel, but it's walkable at a little over 3" in height. I took my regular size in these shoes and they are a perfect fit. I love the pointy toe without being too Halloween witch-like.

The pumps are surprisingly comfortable, with plenty of padding from the heel to the toe. Unlike some of the flats I own, these didn't require a break-in period. There is some toe cleavage (which I like, but others may not care for) but not as much as the Ann Taylor perfect patent pumps. The only negative is the $90 price tag. I didn't want to take a chance with it selling out before the next semi-annual sale, so I caved.

Two snake print items in a month and a half? I do believe I'm slowly getting over my phobia ;)

*My tripod (and sunglasses) weren't around, so thank you to my patient boyfriend for taking these photos!

belt: Ann Taylor exotic perfect skinny belt (other colors sold here)
skirt: Express asymmetric (similar)
bracelet: Etsy junghwa I Love Knots (sold here)
shoes: Zara court shoe with snakeskin toe (sold here; similar; peep-toe)

  11. I always seem to pass on snake-print anything, but your pumps are pulling a string for me, haha I even clicked on your "sold here" link to see more! I think they are worth the price....for being so pretty, and 100% leather and rubber sole (you know I love rubber soles for comfort). I look forward to seeing more of this pump with your outfits :)

  12. I've heard about Suddenlee and wanted to try it out, but I feel extremely guilty being that I can just haul my butt to the mall, LOL. And I love the snakeskin shoes! I think this is the next animal print I need to add to my shoe collection. I already have leopard and zebra.

  18. @The Little Dust Princess - I've been taking the opposite approach. Done with snakeskin and now I'm wanting a chiffon leopard skirt like this one if only it wasn't so expensive!

@Elaine A (TOBeautyReviews) - Sorry :( I will put up a disclaimer next time. Does it help the photo is kind of blurry? :)

@Michelle - Nice! I can't wait to see your outfit posts with the belt either!

@kimchi girl - Boo! Sorry to hear Blogger is acting up again. Hope you're doing well KG!

@House Of Jeffers - So true. I can't believe I didn't discover Zara until recently. I've been missing out on so much ;)

@Olyvia - I've always said my AT perfect pumps are the most comfortable heels I own, but I think these Zara pumps are not close behind. Let me wear them a few more times and get back to you :)

@Jenn - Does your Zara store have a lot of items in stock? I feel like mine never has the items that I'm looking for. I'm pretty sure Suddenlee shoppers visit the NYC stores, so I would imagine they have greater selection to pick from. So it would be a great alternative if you can't find what you're looking for.

@Callandra - Haha, I was going for the snake hissing sound with the extra s at the end :D

    @kileen - Ahh.. sorry! Next time I'll put up a disclaimer :(

  19. I do not own any snakeskin items, I am slowly starting to like animal print stuff. I like how the heels aren't very high so it's comfortable to walk!

btw were thinking of doing a DC trip end of September..maybe lunch or dinner date meet up?

  20. I really love the shoes from Zara! They're super comfortable and good quality as well, very nice leather! Only thing is...no shoebox :( And I store all of my shoes in their original boxes..oh well! These are great and I am glad you bought them and your outfit is adorable too! Love the asymmetrical hem!

I bought a snakeskin belt during the summer but still haven't had a chance to wear it yet! Now I want shoes instead!
