On repeat
Monday, April 25, 2011I know I'm wearing this jacket again. But I love it to death, so apologies in advance! Even when it doesn't go with the outfit, I find myself reaching for it in the mornings. Comfy and casual, I love pairing it with feminine items. Same goes with these bracelets + ring combo. Alright, so that makes it three items I have on repeat. Often times all together :)
Is there an item you'd like to see me wear more? Let me know and I'll try my best.
jacket: American Eagle (camo version sold here; similar)
cardigan: Old Navy (currently sold here)
dress: Ali Ro (this season's version sold here)
belt: J.Crew (similar)
bracelets: Forever 21 (similar)
ring: H&M (currently sold in stores; similar)
bag: Chanel
flats: Valentino (currently sold here)

EEK!! I LOVE THIS OUTFIT!!!!
ReplyDeletei'm super obsessed with military colors paired with soft pink pastels and florals your outfit is so amazing cee!!
and doesn't chanel just make everything better? hahaha
oh ps. there is one it's in annadale.. you know the korean area.. like near honeypig.. but honestly.. well i heard the one by you is really good and always sells out.. but the one i went to in san jose.. is just ehh.. i didn't think it was all that great.
i have that ring too and i wear it ALL the time! (but that's probably cuz i sorely lack in the accessories department :D)
ReplyDeletealso, your flats are sooo adorable...you can wear them all the time & i promise i won't get ever get tired of seeing them ;)
I don't blame you for loving that jacket...it goes with everything! This outfit is so YOU and love how you mixed feminine and military:)
ReplyDeleteThe military jacket is very versatile and I love how you paired it with a light flowy dress. =)
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for you to wear this dress! The draping is so exquisite and I love the pink paired with the gray. What did you decide to do with the Tadashi Shoji?
ReplyDeletea while ago, LOFT sold a jacket like that. I wear mine all the time too. what is it w/that military green that goes w/everything?!
ReplyDeletelove that dress! beautiful color and great for spring and summer.
ReplyDeletei'd like to see more outfits with the jcrew cardigan (it's a mustard/greenish color)
I love how you paired a casual jacket with a dressy item. The soft color of your dress is gorgeous. Lovely spring outfit!
ReplyDeleteI love the jacket too and it goes great with that feminine dress.

Again, great use of my favourite jacket! I looked at AE today and sadly couldn't find it! The dress is so feminine and soft. The Chanel purse is the cherry on top of the sundae!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress and cardigan! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe draping on this dress is so divine...I think its so effortless. Very Grecian goddess with the pastels. Oh, I think what I like to see you in is more dresses! I can't believe how people were wearing shorts shorts out today.
ReplyDeletenot to sound cliche, but i love this. the pairing of the AE jacket with the dress that's so feminine...it reminds me of the j. crew models who are so "cool"/casual. you know how they look like they wake up looking perfect? this is the look! :)
ReplyDeletecee, i love all your pieces/outfits so no matter how many times you remix something, i wouldn't ever get sick of it! :)
p.s. again, wish we were roommies so i could raid your closet (albeit i'd stretch everything out, LOL)! =P
I was going to say that you look like you have been styled by JCrew but Kimchi Girl beat me to it! Using two different trends and adding them together is such a chic but bold outfit. I like how you added a cardigan underneath. Jacket on- chic, bold outfit. Jacket off- sophisticated, feminine outfit.
ReplyDeleteWOW, what a gorgeously feminine dress. Your Chanel is peeking at me flirtatiously... ;) Hai Chanel. *wave*
ReplyDeleteCee, that dress is gorgeous!! I love the wrap detail at the top. And it looks fantastic paired with the military jacket, which I never would have expected. Nicely done :)
ReplyDeleteLove your super feminine dress and that Chanel!!! Why I am seeing Chanel everywhere lol? Am I obsessed or what?
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that the dress seems like two differnt dress because the color in the first photo is somewhat purple/lilac and the second pic is pink. Very pretty both ways.
great outfit - and im a huge fan of layering too!!
ReplyDeleteI completly do the same thing......repeat jackts, jewelry....day after day but they honestly seem to go with everything ;) Love this outfit btw!
ReplyDeleteCee!!!! That dress is GORGEOUS! I repeat a lot - I don't really have that large of a wardrobe so it's inevitable!
ReplyDeletethis green military jacket is definitely one of my favorite pieces on you! i've been obsessed with the color olive this spring and this jacket is just perfect! and i love the big ring too!
ReplyDeletecute & little
@Lisa - Yep, I know Annandale and have been to Honey Pig a few times -- not impressed for some reason. I'll definitely have to give BonChon nearby a chance sometime.
ReplyDelete@Sunshine - Did you have trouble figuring out your size in the H&M ring, too? A couple of people ripped off the packaging and so I tried on those for size and kind of eyeballed the one that I thought fit. Well, when I got home, it turns out I should've gone a size up because my fat fingers (but really, the middle one) couldn't squeeze into it, hahaha. Sigh, so I settled for wearing it on my ring finger instead.
@Really Petite, @Stylepint, @PetiteLittleGirl, @Miranda, @Tiffany, @ilene @ muchloveilly, @kileen - Thank you for the kind words :)
@SewPetiteGal - Finally I got fed up with making up occasions to wear this dress, so to hell with it, I'm going to make it work into my everyday routine :) I think the Tadashi Shoji dress is my worst impulse purchase EVER. I'll probabaly try to sell it, but I probably will be taking a loss on it.
@AubreyOhDang! - I don't know, but I'm not complaining! I've yet to wear it with jeans (!), which is probably the most universally easy-to-pair item.
@annie - Ahh, Annie, you picked the one item that I have trouble styling the most, lol! My wardrobe lacks bright color diversity, so I usually play it safe with neutrals (beige, tan, brown). But I'll try to get some looks up in the next few weeks or so.
@b_ra - I'm so sad to hear AE ran out of this jacket :( Aerie has something similar, but it's more like a thick shirt -- perhaps you could give that a try?
@Jarucha, @Tara - I'm such a sucker for grecian looks. Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong century (and wrong race), for I would've loved waltzing around in togas, lol.
@Kimchi Girl, @Banhannas - You girls are too kind b/c J.Crew is by far my #1 inspiration. If they ever went out of business, I don't know what I would do!
@Aubrey - CoCo says "Hi Aubrey!" (omg, we are so silly)
@Nelah - YES YOU ARE. Your new Guess purse would feel neglected if you went out and bought a Chanel now :P The dress is a pretty true "lilac" color -- the outside lighting combined with my oldie camera probably distorted the color somewhat.
@Callandra - Your outfits are always so different though -- I have to read the items you're wearing to figure out that something was repeated *bows down to your remixing awesomeness*
@Elaine A (TOBeautyReviews) - I'd like to think I don't have a large wardrobe either -- but who am I kidding?! I've been buying so much crap lately that I REALLY need to channel some self-restraint.
I love this entire outfit but of course the bag and flats as well...the parka is one of the favorite items in my closet and I love the way you styled it :)
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for wanting to wear the jacket all the time. It really goes with everything and looks amazing with your feminine dress. Loving this outfit Cee!
ReplyDeleteI think the jacket will probably go with pretty much everything. :) I love buying a piece that will work with a lot of other things... like the chambray shirt. lol. :) Lovely pairing of the feminine dress and the military jacket. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even try on the ring; I just opted for the smallest size and hope it fits! Turns out it's ok for both my index & middle fingers but a bit snug. I think they run pretty small so your fingers are not fat haha.
ReplyDeletethese colors are so smooth and beautiful! love it
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit. It's very "Spring-like." And the shoes are adorable!! Is that a bow on the top?? So cute!!

I would like to see you wear that Target dress more often...it looked incredible last time you styled it. Can't wait to see what else you can do with it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't get sick of your outfits (really, never!)
i like the photo with the grey cardigan more than the green jacket. the dress is already busy, so it pairs well with a simple jacket.
ReplyDeletesince the jacket looks busy, and the dress is busy, it may be too messy.
I'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
