Living under a rock
Sunday, March 27, 2011When I was taking my "walking" picture for PFC #6, I wanted to pull my hair out because I couldn't get the timing right. I looked to be tip-toeing in one picture and standing flat footed the next. Until... Kimmie mentioned that her camera can take multiple shots on a timer. Umm... that was exactly what I needed! I googled my camera's specs, and lo and behold, even my oldie of a camera has that option. (So be sure to check out yours too) Sigh. I've been missing out all this time.
To make up for it, when I took pictures for this J.Crew-inspired outfit, I twirled and danced around like a little girl. Hopefully nobody in the highrises next to my building was looking out their window. No pictures because it's embarrassing. Poses are so unnatural to me, so expect lots of walking/more natural shots in the future. Yay!

LOL, you are too funny! But yes, the walking pictures look great. I hate all the posed pictures myself, but i have no other choice because my wireless remote sucks, and i have to aim it directly at the camera at a certain level or it wont work, lol. love the jcrew inspired outfit!
ReplyDeleteOk, seriously LOVE this outfit. You're quickly becoming one of my top 3 favorites! (I won't say who the others are, so as not to hurt any feelings...)
ReplyDeleteLove it, love it, love it. You really are the master of layering! The Express and J.Crew skirt together almost look like a full suit.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to have the roof of a high rise to take (semi) private photos on!
WOW that is SO close to the jcrew outfit. good job girl!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am SHY too. I make sure all my locations cannot be seen from the main roads/by people I could possibly know.
Oooh, so pretty! I love all your outfits but especially your "inspired" ones - those are extra lovely :)
ReplyDeleteMe likey :) Ok, I LOVE this outfit too! The layering is great, I need to steal this idea :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving the walking pictures!
This outfit is so perfect! Every time you post pictures of those flats, I want to order a pair for myself!!! They are so chic!!!
ReplyDeleteOh,Cee. I LOVE this outfit you put together! Simply wonderful. What can I say, you have definitely mastered the art of layering. And I LOVE the new natural walking look. :)
ReplyDeleteAhahaha, well the frustration from the walking photo paid off because it seriously looked like it belonged in a fashion mag. Nice JCrew inspiration! I actually like the regular blazer length instead of the boyfriend fit that the model was wearing. You look more pulled together and office appropriate. =0D
ReplyDeleteYou are a master of layering! Seriously, so impressed. Teach me your skills, Cee!
ReplyDeleteCute! The outfits are so similar, yet subtlety different. Love the new natural walking look.
ReplyDeleteLove love this look. I think this blazer fits you very nicely! Plus who doesn't like the stripes peeking out....so on trend!
ReplyDeleteYou are so fantastic at the 'inspired outfit' outfits...I always have such a hard time translating the picture I see into something I would actually wear, with what I actually own. I think I'll have to give it another shot, though :)
ReplyDeleteThis Life, Redefined...Stop by and say hi!
You are becoming a pro at layering miss Cee. Love the look, you replicate it really well.
ReplyDeleteI am a sucker when it comes to poses even though it is just me and a camera, feel so awkward -_-
Jean literally took the words out of my mouth lol... Cee, the master of layering! I love walking poses too (for myself) rather than posed, but often times my wireless remote won't cooperate or my face will be so awkward while moving. Life seemed much simpler when I used to crop out my head lol.
ReplyDeleteI love the walking pictures! I don't bother b/c it would look a little strange me walking just in front of the couch :P
ReplyDeleteU R rocking that J. Crew girl! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou should be a j Crew model or designer i tell ya girl!!!
ReplyDeleteLooove your layers great mix :)

just a simple thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteLove this look Cee, it's beautiful. Yay for your camera timer, that sounds like an amazing option ;) ....Are you sure we can't get just one twirl?! hee hee
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the positive feedback :)
ReplyDelete@PetiteAsianGirl - Nope, my building is the shorty surrounded by gigantic buildings haha. I normally look around to make sure nobody is around, but it's not like I can see into other buildings' windows. Don't know why I even bother :)
@SewPetiteGal - I've been in a funk lately, so I'll probably take the easy way out and wear more inspired outfits. Need... to... get... rid... of... this... creative... block!
@Lisa Lisa Lisa - Even on sale, the prices are still kind of steep (imo). But they're so pretty I think you should seriously consider them!
@Tara - Definitely! I find it helps get the mental juices flowing and I actually come up with other outfits while mentally sorting through my closet.
@PetiteXXS - YES. Either my body looks awkward or my face does. NEVER are both presentable at the same time. And this is a style blog, right? So face cropped out it is, haha.
@Callandra - Still too shy! And I really need to act my age :)
i love these walking shots and you are a layering pro! i'm in love with the color of the J. Crew cardi and it's perfect with the gray blazer.
ReplyDeletecute & little
Cee, I love the photo and the outfit! Yay for finding a new function on the camera. I got to check that on my cam too now... (oh, I moved to a different blog to try something different: kmartvogue.blogspot.com ;)
