I don't know if I would ever have the guts to wear a tie but I love this look. Will be stealing immediately!
ReplyDeletei know how just bc when I was working at a grocery store at 14, we had to wear one lol
ReplyDeleteyou definitely look sexy in it! i like the pink in the tie..matches perfectly with the pink in the skirt!
So, so cute! I don't think I'd ever be daring enough to do this, but it looks awesome! I give you so much credit for trying new things!
ReplyDeleteI think you'll need a skinnier tie. That one looks huge on you!!
ReplyDeleteI think tying ties is more forgiving for girls! It looks fine to me. :) I'm still drooling over your "David Yurman" bracelet.
ReplyDeleteYou wear it well, coordinates perfectly!Aesthetic Lounge
ReplyDeleteThe pattern of the tie pairs well the skirt. I can't tie a tie to save my life!

Awesome outfit! I love those shoes, and how the tie and shirt balance out the girly skirt. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a knack for pulling together the best most unique pieces - another winner!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't worn an actual tie, just the shirts with built in ones, lol. I like how it adds some extra color, tho!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see someone rock a chambray shirt it makes me want one so badly! I love it with the floral skirt and all the pink accents.
ReplyDeleteI'm still super intrigued with ties but don't know if I can pull it off. I am also wanting these bowties:

Love the chambray + the pink print skirt!
cee: j.crew should hire you to do their window displays, or better yet, be a catalog model, hehe. your eye for color and texture is AMAZING. great job w/ the loose-tie look. it really goes well w/ the casual, but work-friendly look. this is definitely one of my faves (which is ever-growing haha)!
ReplyDeletewow, i'm horrible with ties too but you make this look very chic! i love it!
ReplyDeletecute & little

Thank you all :)
ReplyDelete@simplyvonne - At least if your husband ever has trouble with his ties, you'd know what to do :) Between my bf and I, ties need to be pre-knotted hahaha.
@Elaine - YES, skinnier and shorter tie. I couldn't figure out a way to multiple knot the tie to shorten it, so I played with "flipping" the ends to control the proportions a bit better, lol.
@R.L. - I plan to stop by the same F21 on Fri, so I'll let you know if there are any left :)
@SewPetiteGal - Speaking of bowties... I recently purchased one. I'm not sure if it's a keeper yet, but will definitely be trying out looks before I make a decision. The ones you linked are cute! If you do buy it, please share styling ideas :)
@kimchi girl - Hahaha, that would be my absolute DREAM job. Oh a girl can fantasize, right?
I def couldn't pull of a tie but you my dear Cee....can wear a garbage bag and look good in it:)
ReplyDeleteI've loved ties since the BDIB menswear challenge, and I've been wanting to follow kimchi girl's tutorial on how she tied hers, so I was so excited to see this post! This outfit is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi,I am planning to by j crew boy's shirt but I dont know what size I should choose. I am usually xs or 0 for most clothes and I can wear kids size xxl from gap or old navy (a bit baggy) what do u think?? Should I order 12 or 14?
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome btw.
I meant buy (not by) haha
ReplyDelete@Anonymous - Hmm... I don't have experience with Gap or Old Navy kids' sizing, but I found crewcuts boys' shirt in sz 14 to be wide on me (I took it to the tailors to get it slimmed), so I'd recommend sizing down to 12. I'm 32A across the chest if that helps. Hopefully it's not final sale and you'll be able to buy it in both sizes to try on?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips Cece! My chest size is same as you are so I think 12 should be fine!
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!
I'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
