Like a stewardess?
Tuesday, October 05, 2010A scarf is supposed to be versatile, right? I've tied the scarf to my bags, but due to the silky fabric, the bow comes untied rather easily. I'd rather not double knot unless I have to. The length is a bit too short to wear as a belt, unless I pin the ends down. So here goes my attempt at wearing it around my neck. Is it too much like an airline stewardess? Yay or nay?
cardigan: Old Navy
top: H&M (currently sold in stores)
scarf: Coach
skirt: Express
bag: Balenciaga

Slightly reminiscent of flight attendants but I think it looks great! The cardigan and the skirt look like a set...I can never get my unmatched jackets and skirts to be the same shade. kudos.
ReplyDeleteNot bad at all, I've seen plenty of people wearing scarves this way and it looks quite chic! =)
ReplyDeleteYou'd make a very fashionable stewardess! Your Galet city is TDF. :)
ReplyDeleteIt does remind me of a stewardess but I really like the look!
ReplyDeleteIn the States we would think of a stewardess but in Europe you'd be so chic bc everyone is about the scarves there! I really like the look myself - it adds a nice bit of color and brightness!
ReplyDelete@Elle - Nope, cardigan and skirt aren't a set! It must be the lighting that makes it look like it matches hehe
ReplyDelete@Lisa - I've never been to Europe, but it's definitely on my to-do list. The food, the sights, not to mention the fashion...
I haven't worn my scarves for a while because of the stewardess fear. I agree the look is definitely stewardess-ish, but as long as you wear it with confidence, it's a look that I embrace!
ReplyDeleteI do feel like it's a bit flight attendant-ish but at least you look like a chic one! I would turn the scarf a bit, so the ends are pointing diagonally and not down, and then pair it with a classic white t-shirt and jeans rolled up for a Parisian flair!
ReplyDeleteBtw..love the color of your Balenciaga bag!
LOVE your bag - what colour is that? And there's nothing I love more than shoes with bows...your Miu Mius are so cute!
ReplyDelete@PearlsandGreenTea - Thanks for the outfit suggestion! I'll definitely try it out one of these weekends =)
ReplyDelete@The Backseat Stylers - The Bal bag is galet, an amazing grey and great neutral =)
I'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
