Ms. October
Monday, October 18, 2010I'm really liking this long cardigan. Most of my tops are rather short, hitting me at the waist or above, so there's always that danger of flashing skin at inappropriate times.
The more I compare my purchases now to ones from a few years ago, my taste may just be maturing =O The colors I gravitate towards, the styles I pick out, they're all so adult-like. It's definitely not on par with my mental state of mind, which still feels as if I'm still in college lol. As long as I continue to dress my age and not older, there's nothing to worry about. Do you feel you dress your age?

Cute outfit! I like the pop of color from the scarf. Is your Bal a Part Time bag?
ReplyDeleteHaha, I still mentally feel like a grade schooler sometimes - and I catch myself STILL using the term "When I grow up ..."
ReplyDeleteI love your Miu Miu flats- they're gorge!
I used to not like long cardis but after a friend of mine gave me one as a gift, I love 'em.
ReplyDeleteSo cute, I've got exactly the same scarf from BR!

You look beautiful, that's a great look! I feel like I dress to young sometimes for my age. I think it's the fact that I still don't want to pay and arm and a leg for even classic items and the stores that have clothes that actually fit me are generally "trendier". I'm slowly trying to add more classic quality pieces though!
ReplyDeleteI'm finally starting to feel like I'm getting older too! Nothing used to be too "young" for me as long as it somewhat fits, but I'm starting to learn to say no to things and gravitating towards more mature/adult styles. I'm loving my longer LOFT cardigans and have been wearing them a lot!
ReplyDelete@SewPetiteGal - Nope, my Bal is the City. It's a great size!
ReplyDelete@Lisa - Yes! I use "when I grow up..." too lol. I also use "when I was growing up... " when talking to little kids. Makes me feel old -_-
@20 York Street - I'm loving this scarf! How're you liking yours?
@curls-and-pearls, PetiteXXS - I hear ya, I'm definitely trying to be pickier about what I buy too =)
I fell in love with long cardi's too...they are so comfortable and versatile. I think that BR scarf is such a clutch purchase, it looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteI have been "maturing" my wardrobe significantly in the last few months after discovering petite professionals who are impeccably dressed...I felt like I still dressed like a child so I made a pretty big effort to purchase from mature stores that I would never be caught in.
Hi Cee,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips! I didn't know you live close to DC. There are quite a few blogger from DC/NY area. I want to get on the Metro but a bit scare. I probably ended up taking a cab to Georgetown tomorrow. What are the must sees in Georgetown besides shopping?
I love long tunic style tops, I feel like they balance my body out better.
ReplyDeleteLooking fab as usual Cee! :D
Hi, I'm new to your blog and I wanted to say that your outfit is gorgeous, you look so chic and skinny!
ReplyDeleteCute!!
ReplyDeleteI like the outfit, it's very fall like, and the color of the scarf really compliments the outfit too
ReplyDeleteI love long cardigans- although I can't wear them too long otherwise I will super funny! Love the pink scarf for a pop of color!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
