Cargos
Tuesday, January 24, 2012My last pair of cargo pants was a boot-cut style that I bought back in college. I must have worn and washed it hundreds of times until one day I noticed a big ol' rip down the backside. I'd like to think that I was the first to discover the tear, but for all I know, a picture could've been snapped and uploaded without me realizing. Let's just say I've been more careful about inspecting my clothes since.
I was happy to find a skinny pair from Zara during their recent holiday sale. The fit isn't great but I love the style, so it's a keeper for me. Crossing my fingers that this pair has just as long of a lifespan as the last... without the same outcome.

Skinny cargo pants with zippers?! Looks good on you!
ReplyDeleteOh geez, those are amazing! Surprisingly chic. I'm in love! They would be an instabuy if they weren't sold out!
ReplyDeleteAhh, sorry! When I wrote up the post some sizes were still in stock. Perhaps try a brick and mortar store? Or enlist Suddenlee's services to help you hunt them down?
DeleteUmmm that totally happened to me, I wore out a pair of jeans and I didn't realize they were ripped at the bottom of the back pocket until the END of the work day when my friend saw it - and I had pink undies on!!!! AND I can't be SURE but I THINK I had bent over that day to change the paper in the photocopier!!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha sorry Elaine! I'm laughing as I read your story :D Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI have never heard of that Walmart site before!! Lol!!
My last pair of cargoes when I was in HS. They were black and very baggy. But I love the sophisticated look of yours, especially with those booties!
ReplyDeleteHS... the good ol' days. I probably didn't know cargos existed back then so I lived in baggy jeans instead. I could imagine cargos being much comfier!

Such a cool, casual outfit. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAh, military + prep is a great combination! I used to live in bootcut cargo pants in college - so comfy and I loved all the extra pockets :)
ReplyDeleteYou know, with all the bigger gadgets guys carry nowadays, I'm surprised more of them aren't wearing cargos, just for the pocket space. Thank goodness we're girls, right? ;)
DeleteHEHE I know about the people of walmart blog...I don't judge but it's a great eye opener because the Walmart around here isn't nearly as interesting.
ReplyDeleteYou know I adore your ability to "mix" trends - this one is no exception! :)
Mine isn't nearly half as interesting either! Kinda cookie cutter actually.
DeleteI love those cargos on you! I must take a look at Zara more! It's always a hit or miss at ours.

Oh, I'm SURE you were the first to notice the rip. Not a doubt in my mind :)
ReplyDeleteI am definitely loving these new ones on you, though. I am a huge fan of the slits at the ankles!
I'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
