I dragged DH into the city over the weekend for a day date. With a Google map printout in hand, we played tourists like the locals we weren't. We started off with a late lunch at someplace new and an old favorite (iced chai tea latte never disappoints.) Then we walked it off by strolling through semi-famous and not-so-famous landmarks alike. I'm so glad we were able to enjoy the most perfect weather outside.

Between moving and donations over the years, there aren't many things left in my closet that I can't pinpoint when they came into my possession. I dub these items B.A., aka Before Adulthood. I'm actually wearing two B.A. pieces today, the denim jacket and tie belt. If I were to guess, I'd say they're from the early 2000s. Oldies but goodies that's for sure.

My current state of mind is still in vacation mode, so bear with me as I catch up on life, work, and sleep (not necessarily in that order). Blogging may be sporadic for a bit as I don't have a backlog of outfits queued up (look at me, bringing the British English back to the States!)

This is most likely the last summer outfit of the year. Sniff sniff. I wore it over the weekend when DH and I caught Linsanity on the big screen. DH had been waiting for months for the movie release, whereas I happily tagged along for delicious Chinese food -- can't beat bubble tea with Taiwanese fried chicken!

Today's outfit is a casual look comprised of my favs: stripes, blue & orange, and flats. Happy Monday!

With summer humidity in full swing, I turned yet again to a favorite color scheme of mine, the all-white ensemble. The lighter colors really do help me stay cooler longer. For added interest, I accessorized with blue accessories.

I've been talking about transitioning away from short shorts for what seems like forever... and now I can finally back up all my talk. White was my color of choice (because owning white skirts and white pants apparently aren't enough). I went with the 4" inseam and think that might be the longest I'll wear for now... until I hit my mid-life crisis. I'm thinking a 3" inseam could also work and will be keeping my eyes out to replace my navy colored short shorts.
