Pattern Play
Tuesday, August 07, 2012This dress is an old item that I've come to love eve more over time, most notably for its length. As is, the hem falls below my knees. With a belt, anything from knee-length to mini is a possibility. For today's outfit, I kept the hem hovering around the knees for a demure look with the bow flats. Please do excuse the wrinkle sleeves and messy knot on the shirt. My goodness, photos certainly don't lie.
Happy Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteI think as a society maybe people don't feel like it's their place to point things out. I know if it were me, I would want to know :)

I've never been able to do the knotted shirt over a dress thing. How do you do it without being uncomfortable?
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Elle's great tutorial on knot-tying? I don't tie the knot too tight so there's room underneath to tuck the ends in (and also because I like to breathe, haha). I do find that I need to look down every so often because my knot unravels from looseness and because I wear my belt underneath the top instead of over like Elle's.
DeleteThanks, Cee! I totally forgot about Elle's tutorial and will be looking at that again! :)
DeleteYou look great Cee! I love the chunky pearls with that dress! And the trees in the background! :)
ReplyDeletevery cute! such a sweet outfit! <3
ReplyDeleteYou are the best at mixing prints! I'm always too scared to try. I think I'm going to have to give it a shot though. Your outfits always look great!

Lovely colors and I like how you added the little belt under your knotted top. And I can hardly see the wrinkles! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
