Bow and Crochet
Tuesday, July 17, 2012Adding to my 10 ways to wear a lace dress post, look #11 is simple and girly, with all credits going to Oscar de la Renta. I've been going through a minimalistic phase, so sparse accessorizing in today's outfit worked nicely to keep other elements from competing with the heavy crochet. Sometimes less is more.
Have a great Tuesday!

Gorgeous look Cee!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how a little detail like adding a bow to a lace dress can really make the dress stand out.
ReplyDeleteCombine that with the stark contrast of black on white/cream, right? I heart that color palette!
DeleteLOVE this. I think I saw what inspired this on pinterest..it's perfection! :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning. Totally pinning! Love everything from head to toe!
ReplyDeleteDid you ever have to do alterations on this dress?
Nope, no alterations on this dress. Imo, it's better suited for someone your height though because I feel the waist is a tad high on me. Aside from shrinking a few inches, there's not much I can do so I'll quit whining now :)
Deletelove this! you are amazing with that dress. i remember you made me want to find it sooooo bad!
ReplyDeletePer Jean's post from a few weeks back, AT outlet re-released this dress in navy. I'm not sure what the inventory is like right now, but it may be worth calling around.
DeleteWow, absolutely gorgeous! I would love a dress just like this for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding.
ReplyDeleteLace is so "in" right now that I'm sure you won't have problems finding something similar :) Happy wedding!
DeleteOh my gosh... as a bow, pearls, Chanel, and lace afficionado, I am officially in love with this look! You have a great eye for style. I'm a fan! :)

ReplyDeleteNo problem, Aubs! I think photos aren't showing up due to your browser. Firefox just went all wonky on me, but I see everything when I tried Safari. I think it's time I switch over to Google Chrome.
Deletethis dress is STUNNiNG! you are rocking this look, girl!
ReplyDeleteYou are so gorgeous!!! Love your dress and adding bow :)
ReplyDeleteI love the addition of the bow...so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to figure out if I ever commented on this post...........because I distinctly remember leaving a comment but I guess it all happened in a dream.
ReplyDeleteBut I had to come back and say I love this outfit. Really. It is freakin' fantastic. Dare I crown this my all-time favorite? And it makes me wonder what happened to my copy of your dress? I was digging around for it last night and couldn't find it. :(
Lol @ the dream comment. I hope the comment didn't somehow make its way to the spam folder and I deleted a bunch without reading (!)
DeleteIf you need the dress, feel free to borrow anytime :)
I'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
