Mixing and Meshing
Monday, February 27, 2012Today's outfit is a copycat of Jean's with the same blazer and brown pants. I think this blazer will be making its rounds (two down) with every bottom in my closet. It's just so... pair-able, for lack of a better word.
One of my favorite aspects of blogging is coming up with post titles. I love a good pun, but unfortunately I'm a left-brainer. So often times, I resort to making up words. What are you, 5 years old? Take for instance the mesh top that I'm wearing today. On a good day, I'll think: Mesh... meshes well? Mis-mesh? Mixing and meshing? Hot mesh? <silence as brain stops working> I suppose I'll be picking from one of the four above. On a bad day, Google is my best friend as all I hear are crickets.

I've been seeing a lot of drapey type blazers in a lot of stores (ie: Shopbop, F21, Arden B, etc) for spring, so definitely take a look around!
DeleteLove your necklace <3

The outfit is great and so is the house behind you!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon this neighborhood on my way to work one day and all the homes there are beautiful. Classic, colonial style with charm. I'll definitely be going back!
DeleteLoved the draped blazer :) haha so you are one of those punny people huh? My sis is just like you with that one! She comes up with some of the cheesiest puns ever haha

I have the hardest time making up post titles. I vascillate between making up some random stuff or doing some cheesy line from a song no one would get anyways, haha!
ReplyDelete(BTW, I FINALLY just went ahead and bought a new camera today. I kept going between different that Sony you've got and the Panasonic. Bit on the Panasonic - keeping my fingers crossed that it works out!)
YAY! I think generally speaking, the Panasonic has better reviews so you couldn't have chose a better upgrade! Looking forward to your future photos as you experiment :)
DeleteI have no idea what to name my blog posts sometimes. Often, I'll just take a word from the post and make it the title. I'm very lacking in terms of creativity. I did want to pop over not really to say that, but to say that I absolutely love that draped jacket on you!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you can say whatever you want Jenn :) I find comments from readers who relate the topic (or anything else really) back to themselves to be the most interesting. High five for left-brainers? :)
DeleteI long gave up thinking of clever post titles - my brain just isn't that big ;)
ReplyDeleteI simply adore those flats. How is the fit?
I took too long debating on this shoe purchase so the size that I should have gotten (half size up) was sold out :( Here are more reviews if you're interested.
DeleteHAHA. I am worse than you when it comes to blog titles...my cricket days happen with more frequency these days.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you found this jacket, because it's so you!
Me too! I owe Annie for letting go of this blazer, and I've gotta thank you for all your effort in helping me track this down :)
DeleteLOL! I can never make up post titles either :P I love this outfit and how you dressed it up with that beautiful necklace!
ReplyDeletehehe actually i always always have trouble coming up with a blog title, therefore I do that last! so usually it's just plain simple and boring :D
ReplyDeletebtw I didnt know the color yellow would make a baby cry! haha that's definitely good to know, thank god our nursery is not yellow!
That's just what I read (about yellow rooms) so don't quote me on that, haha!
DeleteI have this cardigan in black, size 4 and the sleeves are kind of too short =( I forgot to return it and now don't know what to do with it! Congrats on the house btw!
ReplyDeleteTry rolling up your sleeves? I'm not sure how you feel about that look. I like it because it gives of that done-on-purpose-messy-and-casual look, haha.
DeleteI love the simplicity of your outfit and the statement necklace! Great pairing!
ReplyDeleteAhhh blog post titles. That was definitely my least favorite part of blogging, haha!
ReplyDeleteI really like this outfit (love the neutrals together), and the sparkly ring is gorgeous :)
I love that blazer!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
