Weekend Blues
Saturday, February 25, 2012Today's outfit is inspired by yet another Pinterest image -- the main source of my inspiration lately as my mind's been on grown-up responsibilities. After 3 years of on and off house hunting, bf and I are finally homeowners! We haven't moved yet because although the home is in move-in condition for most people, I'm one of those who like hardwood floors everywhere. Aside from new flooring, I'm most excited about my our new closet. It's bigger than what we have now so I'm willing to share, hahaha.
Currently on the to-do list and my plans this weekend: putting up blinds. My wrist is already sore from installing two, with too many more to go. I can already see it now, home improvements on the weekends for the rest of my life. What did I sign myself up for?! All whining aside, this is what we wanted, so I couldn't be happier. A good start to 2012 with perhaps more exciting times to come? ;)

that's so exciting! congrats on being a homeowner! can we expect some pictures as you get things to your liking??
ReplyDeleteI can't make promises because I've never had to decorate before, haha. We'll see if my copying skills (been browsing Pinterest for interior decorating ideas) are worthy of pictures ;)
DeleteCongrats on the new house!! Are we going to be able to see peeks of it? I hope so! Especially the closet! :)
ReplyDeleteFor you, Kimmie, I'll put up closet pics. I know how nosy you are when it comes to other people's closets. That's not an insult, cuz I'm the same way, hahaha.
DeleteLOL, I'm just nosy in general. :) Can't wait to see!
DeleteCongratulations fon the new home! How exciting! I love everything about this outfit - especially the dot scarf and boy shirt! Right up my alley :)
ReplyDeleteon* not fon. oops. ;)
DeleteCongrats on your new house! Hope you enjoy home improvement too. I love your outfit, especially scarf. It is good accent!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Cee! This is HUGE news!!! :)
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean if I visit I have a place to stay (aka your, wait, you and your bf's, closet? wink wink)
And I heart that pink polka dot scarf, it's fabulous!
I wouldn't be so cruel. You can have a guest room all to yourself :) I think you're next on the home-buying? How's that coming along?
DeleteCongrats :) Love that scarf :) and your backdrop!!

How exciting, Cee! Congrats and would love to see pics of the finished closet/house when you guys are done ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll do my best! I've never really had to decorate before, so furiously browsing Pinterest for ideas, lol. Hopefully my copying skills can come up with something picture-worthy :)
DeleteHow exciting, Cee! Congrats and would love to see pics of the finished closet/house when you guys are done ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the house!
ReplyDeleteI also really really love this look, too!
So happy for you! Love that adorable scarf!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Such an exciting time! Our first house was a townhome that we were determined to fix up and be handy with. We ripped out the carpet and put in Pergo since we heard that was easy to do. Days later (and after several scary sawing attempts), our floor was "finished." The middle looked perfect! The sides...well, that didn't look so hot but we were darn proud of ourselves LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love this look and want to try cuffing my boot-cut jeans too! Am wondering if this works primarily for the long-limbed :D
You and your husband have got guts! I'm afraid to even drill holes in the walls because I'll probably make a bigger mess, haha. I really want to put up those floating shelves in a couple of rooms, so I better get over this fear of mine fast ;)
DeleteDo try the cuffed bootcut jeans look! I'm pretty evenly proportioned length-wise and might have "cheated" a bit with the camera angle so I "look" taller, lol.
congrats!! thats so exciting, but so much work!! you look adorable, and i wish my pants looked like that rolled up!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Cee on being a homeowner!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm following you in Pinterest! :)
Congratulations Cee! What an exciting time for you and bf! Enjoy your house projects, and will we get a peek at your new hardwood floors when they're done (love hardwood!)?
ReplyDeleteFloors don't require my (non-existent) decorating skills, so yes I will post some outfit pics with them :)
DeleteCongrats on your new home! I love your outfit! The pink polka dot scarf adds a nice touch =) I always enjoy your posts. I just started my blog and I would love to have your support as well!

Super cute and casual outfit! I want that scarf!
ReplyDeleteAwe congrats on your new house! How exciting!! Hope you share pics!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to look in your old posts for those tan/black bow flats...I found a Tahari pair that fits me!! So excited. They reminded me of you:)
Tahari Villa flats, right? They are an EXACT dupe for my Valentinos at 25% of what I paid! Ahhh! Can't wait to see you wearing yours!
DeleteCongrats Cee!! Owning a house is so fun and exciting :) The decor part is fun, the empty bank account not so much but you get used to it :P
ReplyDeleteI'm already feeling the pain of my bank account. Never will I be "rich" again, lol. Sob story aside, hopefully I'll be able to decorate half as well as you!
DeleteCongrats on the new purchase! It will be worth it, I also delayed moving into my condo because I was putting in floors (though I left carpet in a few rooms). Please show pictures when it's done, I love looking at gorgeous wood floors :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new purchase! It's so much fun to take a new house and add your own touches...it's almost worth the hassle of moving to start from scratch :)
ReplyDeleteWe finally got off our lazy bums and moved this past weekend. Oh my gosh, I hope it'll be many years down the road before we have to move again, if ever! But like you said... it's "almost" worth it ;)
DeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
