In real life: childhood memories

I was tagged by Elle @ Fast Food & Fast Fashion to share my baby pictures awhile back and I finally found the time to dig up and scan a few.

In the bottom left image, I'd guess I was practically a newborn. My mom likes to tell the story that my eyes were my best feature, the thing she first noticed when I was born. (Were being the key word because I have terrible eye sight now). Just curious, how much did you weigh at birth? I was average, a little over 6 lbs. And now I've grown to an average height of a little over 5'4". That's me, average to a T.

Growing up, I always had medium-to-long hair. (Thank you Mom for never subjecting me to the Chinese bowl haircut!) Since I didn't really had a say (or didn't really care?), I sported bangs for a good 2/3 of my life. Blunt cut bangs, side-swept bangs that looked like a cowlick gone wrong, you name it, I probably had it. Since I have thick, wavy, and frizzy hair, they didn't fall nice and silkily and definitely didn't frame my face. Ahh! I'm getting a mental nightmare just thinking about it. So I'll leave you with a not-so-horrible pic of me with bangs from when I was a child.

  3. Cee, these are adorable pictures. Thank you for sharing. You have beautiful eyes. When I saw your picture on the right, "before" reading your post, I thought to myself, "oh, how beautiful those eyes are." I have to tell Cee that. And of course, that was the first thing you mentioned in the post. :) Your Mom is right. :)

  4. Yay, Cee's baby pics. You are SOOO cute. And my parents totally wrapped me up like a large burrito when I was a baby too.

I think I was almost 7 pounds when I was born, my maternal grandmother was convinced I was a boy though my brother was a tad more than 6 pounds when he was born. I guess I was just a really large child. :)

  8. Aww, Cee - you are sooooo cute! I can relate with the thick/frizzy hair - I so envied all the other Asian girls with the stick-straight/silky hair. Thankfully, post-baby, I lost a LOT of hair and it has thinned a little so it's much more tame - especially with the help of a straightening iron. I think I was a little over 6 lbs at birth.

  11. awww! so cute!!!!!! I don't know about other people, but I love little girls with wavy hair, the more messy hair, the cuter in my opinion ;) My hair as a kid was mostly bald-ish and nappy, since my hair is so thin, even to this day.
