I'm back from abroad! The days sure did fly by, but at the same time, I'm also glad to be back home. Nothing beats sleeping in my own bed... and a Chick-fil-A peach milkshake (the first meal we ate since landing). I took close to 1000 photos on the trip, so hopefully I'll finish weeding through them in the next couple of weeks, then write up an accompanying post. For now, back to our usual programming -- outfit posts!

I'm taking a blogging break until the end of the month because the oft-wished about EuroTrip is actually happening. We're off to London -> Paris -> Venice -> Rome for the next 17 days. Words can't describe how excited I am. There's so much to see, to experience, to eat, to buy...!

I'll be offline for the duration of the trip, so any questions/comments will be answered upon my return. Now I'm off to brush up on my bebe-level Francais and add to my non-existent Italian. See you in a couple of weeks!

Simple and extravagant outfits alike, I find inspiration from all over. Today's comes from Pinterest (yet again). The first outfit below is pretty much a dupe of the model's, while the second is a casual variation of the first. I'd say the second is more "me," but the first doesn't lag too far behind.

Just trying to stay comfy and cool during this mini-heatwave the last couple of days. Oh DC, once again you've bypassed spring and went straight towards the infamous summers. After awhile I honestly don't mind the humidity (as do my pasty legs), but it does take some getting used to in the beginning.

Peplum is a trend I've stayed away from until recently. While everyone else raved about its figure-flattering-ness (a word I just made up), I didn't think my hips need the extra attention peplum brings. Well, all it takes is the perfect top for me to do a complete 180. I love, love the soft colors and drapey-ness of this tee.

Same outfit, different days, swapped accessories. If there is one thing I'm consistent with, it's my gazing-with-fascination-at-the-ground pose... which apparently I overuse without thinking twice about. Time to pick up a new "acting natural" pose?

Keeping it short and sweet on the blog today with one photo and one sentence that wasted 10 secs that you'll never get back ;) Have a good one!

I first wore this outfit last year but never took proper photos. So when I finally got around to it four months later, I'm ecstatic to find a gorgeous backdrop with the last of the spring blooms. A "pretty" outfit deserves a pretty setting, don't you think?

There's something about the style and print of the dress that brings out the preppy side of me. As if the dress isn't enough, I continued the theme with colorful loafers and a bright scarf. For once I can walk down M Street in Georgetown and actually blend in... which I'm not sure is necessarily a good thing.

I don't say this often, but it's been a longgg week at work, and sadly, will be for the foreseeable future. I'm definitely looking forward to doing nothing all weekend... starting now. Hope you have a good one!
