Five More

Friday, March 15, 2013

I can't seem to pass up opportunities to brag talk about myself. So Caroline, thank you for tagging me. Here are five (more) things about me:

1) I've never had a pet because I'm irresponsible (my brother's hamster doesn't count). If I ever do, only the one and only Boo will suffice. Since that's not going to happen, I'm happy with this cutie.

2) I eat Chipotle once a week. I would it eat more often, but my metabolism has been slowing down (see #3).

3) I'll be turning the big three-oh this year and I.am.freaking.out. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up going on a shopping spree. Or cry all day. Or go skydiving. Or all of the above.

4) I type fast (~100 wpm) and apparently melodically (so said a coworker). In my middle school's intro to typing class, my teacher accused me of cheating... by looking at my fingers. Sorry, no, that just slows me down.

5) I'm keeping my maiden name. The thought of jumping from the end of the alphabet to the beginning was tempting, but I'm just too lazy to do the paperwork.

If that's not enough, here are 22 previous tidbits (seven + fifteen). Have a good weekend!

sunglasses: Walmart aviator (similar)
lips: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in wink for pink (sold here)
jacket: UniQUEEN Malang tweed (sold here)
tee: H&M (similar)
necklace: stone pendant via eBay (seller's shop for stone, chain)
belt: J.Crew piped glitter (similar)
ring: Forever 21 (similar)

  8. You look great, Cee! Love the tee with the jacket...and paired with the necklace and clutch.

I am turning 30 this year, as well. I am trying not to get all mopey about it, but my mind automatically ventures to the bad things.... health going downhill and wrinkles. Ack!! When is your birthday? Mine is June 29.

  9. I love this outfit, Cee!

And being 30 is no big deal, srsly. :)

Ok, I've only had Chipotle once in my life, and it was in college when I hated Mexican food and only got it because they were giving out free burritos for the grand opening. I can't even remember what it tasted like, but I just remember throwing most of it away because, yeah, I hated Mexican food then (as well as Japanese and Thai, what was I thinking?!!). Our company ordered Chipotle for lunch a few weeks ago and I was excited because everyone always talks about how awesome Chipotle is, so I was finally going to try it (because I love Mexican now), but when our order got here, they had messed up EVERYONE's order, and completely left mine out, so I had to sit in a meeting with everyone around me eating Chipotle while I snacked on a granola bar. I have yet to try it.

    1. You know how the other day you said you want to approach life the way I do? Well, I need to learn how to approach 30 the way you did. Teach me, please!

I had to read your Chipotle story twice because I couldn't believe it. How could you have gone so long without Chipotle?!?! Take your kids for a Chipotle meal (they have a kids menu) the next day you have off. I promise everyone will enjoy it. My personal favorite is a bowl (less messy) with white rice, peppers & onions, chicken, tomato salsa, corn salsa, lettuce, and guacamole.

PS - I must hear your thoughts after you try Chipotle :)

  10. Awesome tweed. It's a versatile jacket.

No reason to freak about turning three-oh. Your 30's are the best.
