Black and Blue

Thursday, November 08, 2012

Colors that could be mistaken for others are pairings that I tend to stay away from. However, my options were limited if I wanted to wear a dark, tailored blazer with a turtleneck. So instead of wearing navy directly on black, I broke it up with a middle layer in gingham. Blue is now in the forefront, with black not as noticeable in the background.

necklace: gift from aunt (similar)
top: H&M turtleneck (similar)
belt: J.Crew (similar)
pants: Zara TRF cargo trousers (similar)
bag: Marc Jacobs large Single - gift from aunt (sold here)

  5. I use to own a navy blazer that never looked right with anything, probably because I wear a lot of black tops! I ended up donating my blazer , but now I'm kinda wanting a navy blazer now... Especially the way you style it!

    1. Ahh... I hate donation remorse =/ Perhaps find a navy piece of clothing and hold it up against the rest of your closet to see if a navy blazer is worth re-buying?
