Mixed Feelings
Monday, June 25, 2012Today's outfit is one that looked better in person but even better in my head. Hmm... those feelings sure have been popping up an awful lot lately. Regardless, I'll add this to my collection of attempts at print mixing.

Mixing prints can be really busy, but I like how the chambray top tones down the gingham. I'm a fan! :)

I think it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI think the pattern mix is wonderful. The blue brings out the colors in the skirt.
ReplyDeleteI think it just takes some getting used to but you did it right! It's perfect and not at all too much. Its just right and fun;)

It looks very well-balanced to me! I recently finished making a floral skirt so I'll be digging through your archives for style inspirations :)
ReplyDeleteIt works both ways ;) Can't wait to steal inspirations from your outfits!
DeleteI've never tried layering two button up shirts... It's so preppy!! Definitely going to try now.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Your bag twin. :)
I think layering shirts is great for days where I run out of tanks to wear underneath, haha. Let me know how your experiment goes!

You know what I really like this! I think without the solid shirt on top it would be a bit too busy for me personally but I like that it breaks it up and you just get peeks of the gingham!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you mixed the patterns! I have two gingham shirts I'd love to play with, myself. Anywho, I just stumbled on your blog via Pinterest and wanted to say hello! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Diana! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment :) Let me know how your experiment with ginghams go!
DeleteWill do! :) Have a great weekend!
DeleteThe little peek of gingham from under the chambray top makes it work with the floral skirt. Had you just worn the gingham it would have been too much. I think this was pieced together perfectly!
ReplyDeleteThis has to be one of my favorite layered looks...loooooove it!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
