The Small Things
Tuesday, April 17, 2012In the previous post, I mentioned my surprise at this bag's smaller-than-expected size in person. Well, I'll have to semi-retract that statement. After arriving at work this morning, I couldn't figure out a way to store the bag in my usual cabinet without bending/twisting/deforming the handles (and this is coming from someone who enjoys a good puzzle). To save my coworkers from hearing more clanking noise (metal feet on bag + metal cabinet = that annoying coworker), I plopped it right next to my monitor. What a great sight to see whenever I took a break from work. The bright red color never failed to bring a smile to my face. #enjoyingthesmallthingsinlife

Hey Cee!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got a great deal on the bag!
That jean jacket looks great on you!
i always struggle with fitting bags into the small lockers they give us at different sites. i took my celine for a while, but was always worried that i had to bend the handles. loving your stripes!! i'm so behind, i should go get a striped shirt!!

Oh my gosh, if I had a Celine I'd be too scared to even think about bending the handles. What if it wouldn't bend back properly - oh the horror. First world girl fashion problems always make me laugh, haha.
DeleteIt looks perfect with all of the stripes...so cute!
ReplyDeleteI think you, Elle, and the other proud owners of this tote need to compile one post showing how you all wore it : )
ReplyDeleteI think that bag was designed with you in mind Cee, it's soooo you! Love this outfit...I never would have thought to pair stripes with stripes but I love it....I'm going to try it myself ;)
ReplyDeleteLove how you style all the stripes today! The pop of red would make me happy too :)

ReplyDeletelove the stripes!! and that bag is perfect with it. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cee,
ReplyDeleteI also own that exact same tote, and I've found out, much to my dismay, that the red handles rub off on my light-colored sleeves. Do you see that as well or is it just a problem with my particular item?
Hey Julie! Oh no, that is not good news. I haven't noticed any discoloration on my clothes from the red leather (knock on wood), but I'll pay closer attention and let you know if this changes.
DeleteI did notice faint red marks on my closet wall (where the back of my Tillary tote leans against). I don't know if it's from a wet spot (took my bag out in the rain) or not. Now I'm paranoid too.
Hopefully it's just me then! I found out about this in the worst way possible: my Jcrew trench coat now has red marks up and down one sleeve, and apparently dry cleaning can't take it out. Boo.
DeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
