Brights
Monday, April 09, 2012I envisioned finishing this outfit with brightly colored closed-toe (preferably suede) pumps. Unfortunately, the shoes as described do not exist in my closet, so I went with the next best thing. Dressy color or casual suede? Color won out after much debate. I figured the scarf dressed up the outfit a bit so the shoes don't look entirely out of place. I've been pulled away from pastels and towards brights this spring, so hopefully there will be more colorful outfits to come!

Love it. Gives me an idea of how to wear my pink Mona pumps. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of the top! The shape with those jeans is an awesome pairing!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I took a chance on these pants. They're different than anything else in my closet so I wasn't sure if I could work it into my wardrobe. Boy, am I glad at how versatile and comfortable they are. Definitely worth checking out your local Gap, imo.
DeleteI just LOVE yellow and pink together. It just screams warm weather to me, for some reason!
ReplyDeleteI think the scarf does an excellent job of pulling the yellow and pink together:) Thanks for the inspiration!

It certainly seems like I use accents of pink in all my outfits, huh? ;)
DeleteLoving the yellow and pink together. Those dressy pink shoes actually look great with the otherwise semi-casual outfit, makes it look so chic!
ReplyDeleteI love pairing these two colors together, and you pulled it off effortlessly...love it!
ReplyDeleteOoh, looking good in the neon, Cee! The yellow and pink work so well together especially with the navy.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow is hard to capture (bad photography skills!) I'd say they're a primary yellow -- bold but not quite neon. I certainly do feel like I stand out like neon lights though, haha.
DeleteI absolutely love every one of your outfits. I'm SUPER glad I found you! Your style is right on track with mine! :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, how do you always manage the perfect amount of laidback slouch in your outfits?! I eternally try to do it but always end up looking sloppy!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! I love your pairing of the bright yellow top with your dressy pink shoes--it looks so chic and classic. Great look!
ReplyDeleteThose gap khakis fit you really well! What size are they? I ordered a pair online before and they were too baggy saggy...like the way they look on the models. I should try a smaller size.
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing size 00 in the khakis. They're a bit loose and slouchy (great for casual looks, imo) but does shrink a bit after washing, which is when I'll usually wear them for dressier looks. Hope that helps!
DeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
