Calm Before the Snowstorm
Thursday, January 23, 2014I wore this outfit on a surprisingly (but much welcome) spring-like day earlier in the week. Temps were in the 50s (!) and I couldn't resist putting together an outfit with bright colors. The extra cheesy smile and spring in my step summed up my happy mood perfectly.

stay warm! brrrrrr!
ReplyDeleteBack atcha! I've never been so appreciative of my commute until now, lol. Jump in my garaged car to work, literally walk 20 steps to my building, then the reverse on the way home. Definitely not taking it for granted anymore!
DeleteSuper cute, Cee! Reminds me to take my tie belts for a spin. Hope you're keeping warm and toasty!
ReplyDeleteThat makes two of us. I had completely forgotten about my tie belt as well until I was digging through my stash looking for another belt. Glad to be of help!
DeleteSuch a pretty outfit as usual, Cee. Did you know that I just went through the last few pages of your blog to get photography and posing tips? haha. I swear, you dress how I wish I dressed and your pictures look like how I would want mine to look like, and now I probably just sound like a weirdo stalker. :)
ReplyDeleteHAHA love you Kimmie for your unfiltered thoughts! Seriously, I always come off like a stalker when I make similar comments, so I can def relate. DH's side-eye looks roll right off my shoulder now.
DeletePosing tips from me?! You sure do know how to make a girl feel good. But really, I'm not the best person to learn from. There's a reason I only share 1-2 photos per post... the rest are awkward bloopers, lol. My poses can be summed as follows: keep one leg straight while placing the other leg forward/backward/bent at the knee/crossed at the knee; or there's always the "walking." That's it!
Photography on the other hand, is something I take pride in because I feel my photos have improved leaps and bounds since I've started blogging. I don't really have a secret formula, but have found what works best for me are: 1) lighting (try to shoot within the 2-hour window of sunset or sunrise), 2) my back facing the sun or at a 45 degree angle (never directly facing the sun because of the harsh glare), 3) camera settings: vivid color, ISO 400, lowest focal length, 4) post-process RAW photos in Lightroom -- seriously have been a life changer. Let me know if you have specific questions though, because I don't even know if this is at all helpful.
Glad you got to enjoy some nice weather. That blazer fits you so nicely!
ReplyDeleteLove those yellow heels. Super chic.
