Sweater Weather
Monday, October 28, 2013A "distinguished visitor" made the rounds at work last week, so we were told to dress in business casual clothing for his visit. I overheard a newbie ask what exactly that meant. A sweater? No jeans. No flip flops. I chuckled to myself at the latter because I was once singled out by the old boss in an all-hands meeting when the same topic came up. I was the recipient of a pointed look when he said, "no flip flops." Duly noted, lesson learned. I love my workplace.

I'm really lucky that my office has a really casual dress code. Most everyone wears jeans and sneakers/casual shoes. I like putting on business casual clothes once and a while (like I will tomorrow due to a conference) but it's nice to know I can wear jeans if I want most of the time.
ReplyDeleteI share the exact same sentiments. I don't know how people who must dress up everyday do it... I'd be going crazy the end of week one!
Deletethis sweater looks so warm and cozy. and those pants fit you so nicely! and while i love our casual dress code, i'm glad that flip flops are a summertime casual friday thing only, lol. seeing my boss's toes weirds me out!

Kileen!! Now I have a mental image of your boss' wonky toes... lol.
DeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
