Tweed
Monday, December 03, 2012The girly side of me has been wanting a tweed jacket for awhile and I can now happily cross that item off my list. Jacket #2 from the last month is this season's UniQUEEN Malang tweed jacket. The jacket gained popularity last year after Jean blogged about it in both pink and blue, the latter of which I realized I wanted after it had sold out. None of this spring's colors really spoke to me, so I'm glad I waited to see what this fall had to offer. I chose the black version over the white because the colors were the most similar to last fall's blue. Patience has finally paid off!

The jacket is gorgeous on you and I love how you paired it with the red scarf! I also missed out on the blue one Jean had. I had bought the yellow from their spring version but had to return because it had sparkly silver in the tweed. I think I might order this version now! Is the lining quilted?
ReplyDeleteRL, there's sparkly silver thread in the black version too. It's more noticeable up close... you can see the detailed photos on UniQueen's website. The silver thread on the white version looks to be the same as the black, but not as noticeable because of the white fabric I think. Lemme know if you want me to take any close up photos of mine. The lining is not quilted.
DeleteThanks for letting me know! I'll hold out for a version that doesn't have the silver thread.
DeleteAnytime!
DeleteGorgeous colors on that jacket! You will have so much fun styling it! :)
ReplyDeleteI already have a couple of "red" outfits I'm looking forward to wearing!
DeleteSuch a great jacket. I've been wanting one too but still haven't found any that really spoke to me.
ReplyDeletePatience will eventually pay off -- don't give up!

Love this jacket on you! I've been debating about getting it but still hesitant about that price tag. What size did you get?
ReplyDeleteThe price tag is kind of high, isn't it? I remember the spring colors were a bit cheaper retail, but they weren't ever marked down significantly at the end of the season either. I think if you love this season's colors, then paying more now can be justified.
DeleteI'm wearing size S, though it feels like one sleeve is tighter than the other, lol. I'm not sure if one of my arms is bigger or the sleeves are slightly off in sizing.
I'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
