Casual in Leopard & Leather
Tuesday, December 18, 2012I usually don't think twice when pairing warm with cool colors. Perhaps due to the similar tan and gray shades I'm wearing today, I felt they don't exactly clash, but yet doesn't look quite right together either. So I broke up this almost-monochromatic color scheme by accessorizing with other colors from both sides of the spectrum. Reds and browns (warm) from one and black and silver (cool) from the other.

I love the look and really love your scarf. I always think I have to tie similar scarves around my neck, but I should try a casual drape like this.
ReplyDeleteYup, this might be my favorite way to wear a scarf. Be sure to kind of tuck some of the fabric underneath your jacket (if you're wearing one) on a windy day. My scarf almost got blown right off me yesterday!
DeleteThe scarf & belt really help to pull this outfit. Very stylish!

Love the casual look of the scarf, but I'd always be terrified that one gust of wind would blow it away!

Hahaha that almost happened to me yesterday! A strong gust of wind came out of nowhere and half the scarf was blown off. Thank goodness the other half was tucked more securely.
DeleteGreat idea to pair a bright accessory with the neutrals. I'm the same - I have a lot of grey and oatmeal colours in my closet and while I like them together they can seem kind of blah! I usually break it up with one of my "dara dot designs" scarves (cuz I have a million of them :P) but I think I should invest in more printed scarves!
ReplyDeletePrinted scarves would be a fun next step! I wear a lot of solid colored clothing, so I use patterned scarves to break up the monotony.
Deletelovely as always! you just look so fun and put together all the time! xox P
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
