Compare and Contrast

Monday, October 22, 2012

There are two styles I favor, tomboy or girly girl. Sometimes it'd be a mix, once in awhile it'd be neither and completely random, but most often you'll find me oscillating between the two. Regardless of the style du jour, the common denominator among my outfits is repetition. Wearing the same items over and over again? Have to get my money's worth. Repeating color schemes? If it looked good once, it'll look good again.

Below left is a tomboyish outfit in burgundy/blue/gray [details here]. Below right is a girlier version using some of the same pieces in the same general color scheme. The two outfits are different enough but still stays true to my style.

sunglasses: Walmart aviator (similar)
sweater: H&M (may still be in stores)
cuffs: Madewell tree-twig (sold here); Madewell nautical knot (similar)
bag: Marc Jacobs large Single - gift from aunt (sold here)

  1. Cute looks!! I actually like both of them equally. :) I'm usually more girly girl but it all depends on my mood for the day but I can go for either outfit!

  2. True... we don't find money at a tree so wearing your pieces over and over is a good thing, especially for you who already mastered this art.

    1. Hey Anna, I'm not sure what department the sweater's from =/ I've already thrown away the price tag, and the tag attached to the sweater is black. I don't believe it's from the juniors (Divided?) line though. Just keep your eyes peeled for the burgundy color. Hope you find it!

    1. The jeans are really straight leg... that turns into faux-boyfriend style after I've worn it numerous times, lol.
