Checkered
Thursday, October 11, 2012I saw this Banana Republic ad in my inbox and loved the model's dark red cowl sweater paired with a gray blazer. I kept the same color scheme, but added hints of blue and leopard to create a casual version of her business attire. Ideally I would've swapped my gray blazer for one in brown/taupe, complete with elbow patches. Time to add that to my wishlist perhaps?
Happy Thursday, everyone!

I'm wearing a similar gingham shirt today! You have an awesome aunt!
ReplyDeleteShe's my new aunt through marriage (I'm bad with names, but I'd call her my aunt too, right?) and has the most amazing bag collection. Puts mine to shame, easily, haha.
DeleteI love your gray blazer with the burgundy and blues! I haven't seen a good-looking brown blazer, so I think brown would be a harder color to style, but if you do find a brown one, would love to see how you work it with your amazing layering skills :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen some plaid/herringbone-type brown blazers that I think would be fun to style. I've been debating back and forth, wondering if it'd be too professor-ish, so I'm still on the fence. But I'd think it would be fun with style with other colors found in the fabric mixed in with brown.
Delete<3 your bag Cee!!! Its a beautiful shade of blue!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jen! My aunt asked my SIL for her opinion and SIL knew I didn't own a blue bag, but yet wear a lot of blues, so this was a great choice.
Deleteoh LOVE this classic fall look, cee!!!

Love the color scheme.
ReplyDeleteWait.. is this bag new? I've never noticed it before. You seriously have such an enviable handbag collection. If you ever get sick of any of your bags, you know where to find me :)
ReplyDeleteLove the color combination and the blue gingham!
Haha, good eye Kimmie. The bag is new and is a wedding present from my aunt. You know... if you lived closer, we can share clothes/bags/closets ;)
DeleteLove the "surprise" of the leopard shoe. Totally makes the look your own. The color of the sweater really looks great on your skin.
