Easy Pea-sy
Sunday, October 23, 2011This Old Navy wool-blend cropped military jacket in heather green, size XS (sold here) was first on my list of outerwear wants (which is growing longer by the day, lol) this fall season. I tend to gravitate towards pea coat styles because I find them to be most flattering on me. I've also been on a green kick lately and absolutely loved the color on the website.
Pros: Color is a nice dark green, shoulders fit nicely, sleeve length is my preferred longer length.
Cons: There is a slight smell out of the box (must be the dye used), material made is on the thin side, too short, fit is a bit boxy.
I just don't love the jacket enough in person so it will be going back to the store. Old Navy, can you make this jacket in XS Tall? A tad longer would fit me nicely :)

ReplyDeleteEasy Petite Looks
I saw this jacket in the store today Cee! I actually love that length on you, it's adorable :)
ReplyDeleteOoh preppy + leather(ette)! Love the combination! ON outerwear seems to be hit or miss. They either fit well or are boxy (but mostly boxy). Did you get the Stuff & Save promo from ON? It's 40% off entire purchase in store on 10/28 and then you can try before you buy.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit with the leather jacket! You're right about the Old Navy jacket length .. it would like much better if it was a bit longer. Boo :( Have you checked out the Zara trench yet? : )
ReplyDeleteI love this skirt...it is so adorable!
ReplyDeletethe ON military jacket isn't so bad when it's left unbuttoned and i actually kinda like the cropped style. how weird that it still had a dye smell though coming out of the box!
ReplyDeleteand i love how you layered with the jean jacket and pearls. so casual yet classy!
cute & little
I am loving your full-length pic, Cee =) I love how you layered 2 jackets at the same time. So chic! I have to say that ON has some cute items lately. Too bad this one didn't work out for you.
ReplyDeleteLook at you coming out slowly ;) What a cute outfit that skirt look amazing on you! I prefer the 2nd outfit anyway!
ReplyDelete@SewPetiteGal - NO! I haven't heard about that... hopefully I'll get an email soon. After promos, I got this coat for 40% off, so I'm having a hard time letting it go, lol. No more keeping things that I don't love.
ReplyDelete@The Little Dust Princess - My Zara trench came over the weekend! Will be doing a post soon -- need you guys to help me decide if the fit is off :)
@kileen - From reviews on ON's site, the black version of this coat actually smelled a lot worse o.O I can't even imagine.
Love the jean jacket look!! Love the more exposed face shots, too! :)
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the jacket! The opened look does not look so bad in the photo...but at that price, not a keeper!
I'm loving these full face shots! Cute outfit! Bummer about the jacket but I like the outfit w/the jean jacket too!
ReplyDeleteI hate when they make short pea coats too short! It's pretty easy to find gorgeous outerwear, if you're willing to shell out the big bucks for it. But if you want something you won't feel super guilty about replacing every year, it's a lot tougher to find...
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
