Hey Anna Marie! I'm wearing sz 0 in the toggled coat. I would say it runs small (I typically wear sz 00 in J.Crew and own the Majesty peacoat in 00). The upper arms/shoulder area of the toggled coat is fitted while the torso is boxy. This coat is a lot more casual than the Lady Day, imo... so I don't know if that justifies owning both? ;) But really depends on your lifestyle...
Deletesaw this jacket at fair oaks today, passed but seeing it looking great on you is making me reconsider. how do you like it, and what size did you get?
ReplyDeleteHaha! Sorry to be an enabler ;)

I love the coat. I've also been enamored with the idea of a toggled coat for a couple of years now and haven't been able to find the right one 'til now. Too long, material doesn't feel right, toggles look cheap, etc. Personally I think the shorter length of this coat is perfect with toggles because of the casual vibe. The material is a nice weight and should be sufficient for this area until maybe late Jan? I tried on a few toggled coats in the past where the material was too felt-like -- I'd run my fingers over and bits would float off (not sure if I'm making any sense).
I love that jacket! Looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear from you. Constructive criticisms welcome!
