Today we have another maxi and scarf pairing, though in a different color combo. Have a good weekend, everyone!
Another short post to end this weekend. Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
Yet another outfit with the same combination of sweater + pants. This time around, I accessorized for a casual look for cooler temperatures. Same old, but slightly different.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

My drive into work this morning couldn't have been more enjoyable. Light traffic (more federal holidays please!), perfect weather (leftover from the weekend), and the sunroof open. What more could I ask for?
Off to soak up the last rays of this Indian summer. Happy Monday!

There's a few things wrong with this picture:
1) I'm holding an umbrella and the ground's dry. It really did rain earlier!
2) A week's worth of rainy days is nothing to smile about.
3) The umbrella looks awkward. The clasp is broken, so there I am holding both the prongs and the handle so it stays fully open. With three umbrellas to pick from, of course I chose the broken one, lol.

The blurry photos today are what it's like seen through my watery eyes. For the last twenty odd years, I've felt invincible. Then bam! Seemingly out of nowhere, my immune system crashes. Allergy season is kicking. my. butt! So this must be what it feels like to be human; I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep.
I must've unknowingly changed some setting on my crapola of a camera, so bear with me while I work out the kinks. Yes, look at me blaming the camera instead of owning up to my terrible self-timer skills =D

I have small feet for my height. And since pictures don't lie, I should have worn my pointy-toed shoes with these pants. For some reason the almond-toe looks off -- like it's that one stubby toe sticking out amidst regular-sized ones. Too gross? Sorry for the mental image.

I'm running out of ways to tie scarves. And running out of ways to pair tops with pants, but that's another story. While browsing Esprit, I noticed that their stylists accessorize the heck out of scarves. Cha ching! I couldn't have asked for better timing.
I'm also no longer living in a cave. If my Facebook is any indication though, there will hardly be any updates.

Before Thanksgiving, I went into J.Crew hoping to find their cord Atlee skirt, but instead came away with a J.Crew wool bell skirt in heather aluminum, size 0. It was on sale at the stores for $49.99 + 30% off, but it's still selling at retail price of $79.50 online.
I had been looking for a casual skirt with pockets (yes, my first pair of skirts with pockets!) after seeing so many bloggers rocking theirs. I tried on both 00 and 0 in stores and thought both fit me fine, except 00 was a bit tighter. So for petites smaller than me, I think 00 would be perfect. The best part is the elastic waist -- great for holiday meals ;) The only downside is the material, partially made of wool, which means it's dry clean only.
I could have sworn in the dressing room the skirt looked longer on me and did not flare out as much. But from these pictures, they're the opposite? Either way, I can already tell this will be one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe :) Check out Kelly @ Alterations Needed wearing the same skirt in henna!

As Hanna kindly pointed out, I love layering. It's as if I can't make up my mind as to what I should wear, so I throw everything on haha. But really, I attribute it to working in a cold office, so wearing layers help. Though, is there a point when enough is enough? Here I am wearing a striped shirt with a plaid scarf, topped with plaid boots!

So I may have gotten over wearing my theory blazer in every outfit post, only to move on to my Old Navy boots, haha. What can I say? When I like an item, it sure gets lots of uses =) What's currently on your almost-daily rotation?

Looking through my past couple of outfits, I sure do own a lot of greys, blues, whites, and blacks. My eye seems to shy away from brighter colors and patterns, and instead drawn to cooler colors. If nothing else, at least those colors all go well together =) Have you looked through your closet lately? Are there color(s) that you wear most often?

Happy Friday! And happy monthly anniversary to my boyfriend <3 The colors of today's outfit is probably better fit for spring, but with temps in the 60s I didn't care =) Just to give this outfit a bit of an extra oomph, I added my own touches with the jacket and flower sash.

A rainy day means I have reason to wear my rainboots =) Today's outfit was inspired by an old (I presume?) Madewell ad. I loved how the model wore rainboots with socks peeking out the top. So cute! I felt like a big kid when I copied this look haha. Add in layers and a scarf and I'm good to go in this rainy, fall weather.

Another spring-like day before summer is upon us and I have to put away all my long sleeves. I like pairing short sleeve tops over thin long sleeves (in this case it's actually a 3/4 sleeve white top, not sure if you can tell) for a sporty-casual look. Add a plaid scarf to complete the look!

I love scarves. I probably have 4-5 fashion scarves and one real one that keeps me warm :) Today I paired a denim jacket with cargo pants. Denim on top plus denim on the bottom just seems a bit too much to me, even if they are different shades, hence the khaki-colored bottom. Add in a pop of green in the scarf and my trusty Balenciaga and that completes the outfit!
