Wearing a head-to-toe new outfit is exciting, but I get even more of a kick out of mixing new items with old gems. Today's look is such an example. I had to stare at myself for a good few minutes in the mirror before realizing how well each item complemented the others. I may or may not have had an extra skip to my step throughout the rest of the day.

After my red rain boots ripped, I didn't rule out Hunter boots completely. I love the light weight of these Tour boots, so figured I would give them one more try. If the new pair also rips, then well, fool me twice shame on me. I thought about getting the same red color again, but decided I liked this mustard yellow just as much. Life is too short for regrets.

When polled, cardigans would probably be near the top of the list for office wear staples. For me? Not so much. Prior to this month, I owned one -- a gray version (see outfits: one, two, three), which I bought because I thought the rose gold buttons were so pretty and unique. Fast forward to this year, and I can't seem to get comfortable with the ever-changing weather. Blazers are sometimes too much; other times, short-sleeves do not provide enough warmth. Cardigans fit that perfect in-between gap.

These leopard pumps are one of my most worn shoes, so it was only a matter of time before one of the heel tips wore off. I used to go to Buchanan, but it's just not in a convenient location for me anymore (never had any issues with their work). I found AH One recently and couldn't be happier with the end result. Great customer service, a quick turnaround time of 30 minutes (probably would have been less if I waited), and the owner kindly waterproofed the shoes as well. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend.

Keeping plans simple on this rainy weekend: eyes will be glued to the TV all day long. On the schedule will be catching up on Suits (I kinda stopped watching shows the last couple of years, lol. My attention span is not what it used to be) and hoping the Capitals do not give me a heart attack. Hope y'all have a good one!
